RLBCAU Colleges
As per objectives, the University will integrate teaching, research and extension education functions. The University will cover all the thrust areas in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, animal sciences and fisheries.
To begin with, the University is proposed to have following colleges:
College of Agriculture
College of Agriculture, Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University is located in main campus of the University at Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh). The college has been established to provide quality education and training in agricultural sciences and allied sectors. The students of first batch have passed B.Sc. (Honours) Agriculture degree course in 2018. The selection of 60% of the students of first batch for Junior Research Fellow of ICAR reflects the quality of education being ensured in University. At present 40 students are admitted each year at the undergraduate level in College of Agriculture. Currently, 88 students are studying at undergraduate level. During 2018-19, The University has started post graduate, M.Sc. (Ag.) degree programme in Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology and Agronomy with intake of 4 students in each discipline. The teaching is being managed through ad-hoc and guest faculty mainly drawn from ICAR Institutes (IGFRI, CAFRI), Bundelkhand University and Bundelkhand Institute of Technology and Engineering, besides the regular scientific staff. Senior management of the University is also involved in teaching as per need. The efforts are being made to recruit teaching staff through open competition. The students’ research farm and laboratories are being developed to carry out quality research and practical learning

College of Horticulture & Forestry
College of Horticulture and Forestry is a constituent college of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University and is located in the main campus of the University at Jhansi. The college is imparting quality education in horticulture and forestry disciplines. The total intake capacity is 20 students each in B.Sc. Hons. (Horticulture) and B.Sc. Hons. (Forestry). The first batch of UG programmes was started in 2016-17 with intake of 9 students in Horticulture and 12 students in Forestry. During 2017-18, 12 students each in Horticulture and Forestry were admitted. In 2018-19, 15 students have been admitted in Horticulture, whereas 12 students have got admission in Forestry. The college is imparting education as per the course curricula of Fifth Deans’ Committee Recommendation. For imparting quality education, the college has established Instructional Fruit Orchard, Vegetable Cafeteria, Floriculture Block, and Medicinal and Aromatic Garden. The college is making concerted efforts to develop Forestry Blocks comprising of tree species suitable for Bundelkhand Region. Apart from this, the college will shortly establish Bambusetum and Arboretum for identification to the forestry students.

Two more colleges are proposed to be established in Madhya Pradesh
College of Veterinary & Animal Science in Datia
This college is proposed to be established at Datia in Madhya Pradesh to meet the needs of quality education, research, extension and training in the field of veterinary and animal sciences. This site is situated at Nonor about 15 km from Datia along the Shivpuri highway. About 200 acres of land has been acquired and fenced. The construction work of office building and other infrastructure is likely to start during 2019-20.
College of Fisheries
This college is proposed to be established at Datia in Madhya Pradesh to meet the needs of quality education, research, extension and training in the field of fisheries. This site is situated at Nonor about 15 km from Datia along the Shivpuri highway. About 200 acres of land has been acquired and fenced. The construction work of office building and other infrastructure is likely to start during 2019-20.
Land acquisition and designing of layout plan have already been initiated for establishment of these colleges.
